In order to use Dreamweaver professionally as a web designer, a full understanding of the whole Adobe Web Creative Suite (which incorporates Flash and Action Script) is highly recommended. With this knowledge, you have the choice to become either an Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) or an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE).

Constructing the website is merely a fraction of what's needed - in order to maintain content, create traffic, and work on dynamic sites that are database driven, you will have to learn additional programming skills, for example PHP, HTML, and MySQL. It would also be a good idea to have a good understanding of E-Commerce and SEO (Search Engine Optimisation).

You have to make sure that all your exams are what employers want - forget programs that lead to in-house certificates.
